FAQ
HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
Submit your information on the contact page to let me know you are interested in booking an appointment. I will get back to you via email or phone to schedule.
WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER THERAPY?
At this time I am not billing insurance companies. However, most insurance companies provide a Flexible Spending Account that clients find helpful for therapy costs. There are some important reasons why I do not take insurance. First, it provides an extra layer of privacy for what we discuss during sessions because I do not have to send my notes to the insurance company. Second, it allows more flexibility for scheduling appointments. Insurance companies only approve a certain number of visits per year and often have restrictions on how frequently those benefits can be used. Third, it allows anyone to seek therapy without prior authorization from their insurance company.
HOW CAN THERAPY HELP ME?
Therapy is much like exercise:Â you get out of it what you put in. The more you commit to the relationship and put into practice the learning that happens in our time together, the more growth and benefit you will see.Â
In a broader sense, therapy is a space of self-reflection and self-exploration. It is a unique, non-judgmental space where we can lay everything out on the table and identify what is helping you and what may be holding you back. It is also a place of support and accountability to help you reach the goals you set for yourself.
